On May 11, Gerakbudaya will host the launch of Toh Kin Woon’s Malaysia’s New Economic Policy in Its First Decade: The Role of the State in Economic Development, which revisits the controversial economic programme at its genesis and early years, with a focus on the relationship between class and state.

The launch will feature the author in conversation with a panel comprising renowned academics Jomo Kwame Sundaram, Abdul Rahman Embong and Rajah Rasiah, PSM chairperson Jeyakumar Devaraj, and will be moderated by Debbie Chow.
