The deadline for the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award is getting closer!

Every year, the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award attracts thousands of entries from around the globe, with winners going on to achieve widespread acclaim.

This year, the winners of the prizes for short fiction and poetry will receive GBP2,500 each, subscriptions to Granta, London Magazine, and Mslexia, Litopia membership, and a writing course from Curtis Brown Creative.

Additionally, the winner for poetry will receive membership to the Poetry Society in London, a course from Poetry School, and two online master classes from Arvon. The short story winner will get a five-day online course from Arvon and a consultation with the lit agency Redhammer.

Submit a short story of 2,000 words or less, or a poem of up to 40 lines on Aesthetica’s online submission page. There, you have to purchase an entry. It will cost GBP12 for a poem and GBP18 for a short story submitted by August 31, with a GBP6 late fee (so GBP18 for poetry and GBP24 for a short story) for submissions between September 1 to 6.
