The Bandung Spirit

The Tricontinental Bandung Brigade is seeking contributions for the first edition of The Bandung Spirit, a magazine that aims to carry the spirit of the Bandung and Tricontinental conferences in struggling against imperialism and authoritarianism.

The magazine is seeking grassroots voices in English, Hindi, Bengali, Spanish, Portuguese, Malayalam and Dutch on the topics of neoliberalism, imperialism, fascism, genocide, youth in revolt, queer politics, surveillance capitalism, resource extraction and more.

Submissions can be in the form of critical essays (1,000-1,500 words), academic or conceptual articles (1,500-2,000 words), research articles (3,500-4,000 words), thought pieces and commentaries (1,000 words), creative writing (500 words), reflective pieces (800-1,500 words) or photo and visual essays (five to 10 slides).

The deadline for submissions is September 1, 2026, and can be mailed to bandungspirit.magazine@gmail.com
