KL Writers Festival 2024

In conjunction with the Unesco World Reading and Copyright Day, AABA Creative and the KL City Art Gallery are organising the KL Writers Festival this month, with readings from Aishah Zainal, who was recently longlisted for the Dublin Literary Award for her debut Hades; Malachi Edwin Vethamani, who just released his short story collection Have I Got Something to Tell You; Sharifah Munirah Alatas, who recently published essay collection Reform and Nation-Building, and many more.

Taking place at the KL City Art Gallery @ KL Jazz & Arts Centre on April 27, the event will also feature poetry readings, briefs on local copyright law and the challenges faced by self-publishers, alongside book launches and a mini book fair.
