In Notes on The Way Forward: A Socialist Perspective, Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) chairperson and former Sungai Siput MP Jeyakumar Devaraj examines what a fair and dignified life can look like in a political and social landscape that is geared towards atomisation and profit maximisation.

Jeyakumar touches on healthcare, free trade agreements, land distribution, housing rights, migrant workers’ rights, and worsening inequality, and how these can be addressed to build a more egalitarian and just society in Malaysia.

The book builds on his previous essay collections An Alternative Vision for Malaysia (and its Malay translation Visi Alternatif Untuk Malaysia) and Building Back Better, both published by Gerakbudaya’s Strategic Information and Research Development Centre (SIRD).
